Today the player reps will undoubtedly vote to strike, reportedly on August 30th.
I am not a fan of the owners, and much less of Selig, but I have zero sympathy for the overpaid, arrogant players. I hope the owners hold firm, lock them out, and open up next year with replacements, unless the players cave in to an NFL-like agreement.

I still think it's the fault of the cities in MJB. With MJB wanting to contract, NOW is the time to penalize MJB if it strikes before finishing a season.
Make them lose stadium privileges. heck, the minors are gathering steam, each city could easily field halfway entertaining teams AT A FRACTION OF THE PRICE.
The players can't help themselves, they need to be neutered by fans and their cities, there is no other way.
